It became known whether Georgia will send Saakashvili to Ukraine

Kobakhidze: Georgia will not hand over Saakashvili to Ukraine
Irakli Kobakhidze, head of the Georgian government, in an interview with the Adjara TV channel, categorically rejected the possibility of Mikheil Saakashvili’s extradition to Ukraine. Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia and current citizen of Ukraine, is currently serving a long sentence in a Georgian prison.
The Prime Minister commented on the statement of the adviser to the office of the Ukrainian president, Mikhail Podolyak, that the release of Saakashvili from Georgian imprisonment is an important task for Kyiv. Kobakhidze stressed that the transfer of Saakashvili to the Ukrainian side is absolutely impossible.
“The transfer of Saakashvili to Ukraine is completely excluded. There is no reason to take Podolyak’s statements on this matter seriously,” said Irakli Kobakhidze. He made it clear that the Georgian government does not intend to change its position on this issue.
