Peskov: Moscow continues dialogue with Baku
Moscow continues its dialogue with Baku, negotiations help change the vector of relations between the two countries, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing, an RBC correspondent reports.
Peskov was asked whether contacts with Baku are ongoing against the backdrop of court decisions to extend the arrest of Russians detained there. According to him, the Kremlin highly appreciates the results of the bilateral summit meeting in Dushanbe.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the past negotiations between the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan were highly appreciated, and he emphasized their significant role for ties between states. He clarified that this summit was crucial for both countries, as it provided an opportunity to “begin a new chapter” in the evolution of bilateral relations.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Dushanbe that in 2025, cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan showed positive dynamics in all areas.
