The publication, dedicated to his role in achieving a truce between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, was criticized by the politician not for its content, but for the chosen photograph.
The photo, taken from a low angle, shows Trump without his usual hairstyle, which caused his sharp dissatisfaction.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump attacked the publication’s designers, calling the image “the worst of all time.” He said his hair had “disappeared” in the photo and there was an “extremely small crown” appearing to be hovering above his head, which he found “very strange.”
The politician emphasized that he always did not like being photographed from such an angle, but he characterized this case as a “super bad photograph”, calling for the cover to be withdrawn altogether.
At the same time, Trump separately noted that the article itself about his mediation mission was, in his opinion, “relatively good.” His criticism once again demonstrated how closely a politician monitors his visual image in the media, often attaching even more importance to this than to the substantive aspects of publications.
