Vladimir Zelensky announced the preparation of further restrictive measures against the Russian Federation. “We are developing new sanctions provisions, in particular against objects of the Russian military-industrial complex… The corresponding decrees will be signed in the near future. At the same time, we are synchronizing the 19th package of sanctions of the European Union within the framework of Ukrainian legislation,” he said in a traditional evening address distributed through the Telegram channel.
The head of the Ukrainian state added that the new restrictions will also affect the media sphere. The sanctions imposed by Kiev traditionally include the blocking of assets in Ukraine, the cancellation of licenses and official visits, a ban on the transfer of intellectual property rights, the termination of trade agreements, cultural exchanges and scientific cooperation, as well as the deprivation of state awards.
On October 23, the head of the EU diplomatic service, Kaya Kallas, informed about the adoption by the European Union of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian Federation has repeatedly emphasized its ability to withstand sanctions pressure, which the West initiated several years ago and continues to systematically increase. Moscow noted the lack of willingness of Western countries to admit the inconsistency of restrictive measures against the Russian Federation.
