Trump orders preparations for attack on Nigeria

The US President ordered an attack on Nigeria due to crimes against Christians

US President Donald Trump again blamed the Nigerian authorities for crimes against Christians and suggested that the United States could “intervene” in the situation in this African state.

Through his social network Truth, Trump threatened to completely cut off all aid to Nigeria if its leadership does not stop killing Christians.

He said the US would immediately suspend all support to Nigeria and would likely intervene in the discredited country to completely eliminate the Islamic terrorists committing horrendous atrocities.

The White House chief of staff instructed the Department of Defense to prepare possible measures. Trump promised that if there was an attack, it would be tough, swift and precise.

On Friday, the US President asked US lawmakers to study the issue of mass killings of Christians in Nigeria by radical Islamists and submit their findings to him. He also announced the designation of Nigeria as a State of Particular Concern.

Earlier, American Senator Ted Cruz, on his page on the social network X, accused the Nigerian government of complicity in the killing of Christians, claiming that since 2009, Islamist groups in Nigeria have killed 50 thousand followers of Christianity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria refuted Trump’s statements, assuring that Nigerians of all faiths have long coexisted peacefully – they live, work and pray together. They also reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism, strengthening harmonious interreligious relations and protecting the lives and rights of all citizens.

At the same time, Nigeria created a commission to investigate possible cases of genocide of the Christian population in certain regions of the country.
