MP Chepa: Europe will take steps to prevent Putin-Trump summit

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexey Chepa in a conversation with “Lentoy.ru” expressed the opinion that Europe will take various steps aimed at preventing the summit of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump in Hungary from happening.

This is how the parliamentarian commented on the statement by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski that his country cannot guarantee that the Russian leader’s plane will not be forcibly landed during a possible flight over Polish territory.

As Cepa noted, the proposal of France, Great Britain and Germany to torpedo the Putin-Trump summit in Budapest is already beginning to be implemented. The publication’s interlocutor drew attention to the fact that steps are already being taken and will continue to be taken to escalate this situation and do everything to prevent this summit from happening.

The deputy believes that in this regard we should expect increased confrontation “at the fronts”, as well as terrorist attacks.
