Waitrose and Marks and Spencer’s reveal their 2025 Christmas offerings including mulled rosé, a Turkey Bauble and a Cauliflower Cheese Galette
It might only be September, but Waitrose and Marks and Spencer's have already revealed insight into their Christmas goods line-up for 2025.
UK supermarket Waitrose is launching a total of 267 new products, including a mulled pink wine, for the upcoming festive period after seeing the search for 'Christmas' soaring 536 per cent online in the last month.
To give customers a head start on their December 25 menu, the chain revealed its showstoppers, including a hand-crafted No.1 Free Range Turkey Bauble with festive stuffing, a No.1 Slow Cooked British Beef Shin with Bone Marrow, and a spiced, sweet-cured British Gammon with Black Cherry Glaze.
Samantha Angell, Head of Innovation at Waitrose, said: 'This year, we've curated the perfect collection to help every food lover craft truly special Christmas moments.
'Featuring everything from showstopping centrepieces and nostalgic party bites to the ultimate gifting range, decadent sweet treats, and trend-driven festive tipples, we hope our customers love the range just as much as we do!'
For those opting to have fish at the centre of their table, Waitrose is offering a No.1 Stuffed Scottish Salmon with Prawns & Salsa Verde Drizzle. The centrepiece features cod and king prawn stuffing with a punchy salsa verde drizzle.
Vegetarians haven't been forgotten about either, with the No.1 Mushroom, Malbec & Port Wellington, and Cauliflower Cheese Galette Crown on offer.
Emily Quinn, Chilled Vegetarian & Vegan Buyer, said, 'Nothing says Christmas like cauliflower cheese, and we're thrilled to introduce our festive showstopper: the No.1 Cauliflower Cheese Galette Crown.

'This rustic, hand-crimped centrepiece is crafted by a Cornish bakery with over 125 years of proudly making quality food. Made with Barber's Mature and Vintage Cheddars, it's delicious served on Christmas Day with all the trimmings, or with a crisp green salad for easy entertaining.'
Side dishes include free-range No.1 Stuffing Balls with Bacon, Smoked Chestnuts & Sage, and No.1 Wagyu Beef Dripping Yorkshire Puddings.
Revellers must keep room for dessert, because Waitrose has revealed a line-up including a No.1 Nutcracker dessert, trend driven Pistachio Meringata, a Sicilian Lemon & Mascarpone Delice, and Triple Chocolate Snowflakes.
Sophie Maltby, Dessert Product Developer, said, 'This Christmas, rediscover the magic with our new No.1 Nutcracker dessert – a showstopping, festive centrepiece - hand decorated with amber lustre dust for an antique finish.
'With searches for 'Nutcracker' increasing year on year, this dessert is more than just a treat, it's a nostalgic journey, crafted to evoke the warmth of cherished childhood Christmases and the joy of treasured family traditions.'
Meanwhile, for mince pies, Waitrose has looked to trending flavours to innovate its selection.
Will Torrent, Senior Innovation Chef, said, 'With social buzz around limoncello soaring by 23 per cent during the festive season, it's clear this vibrant and refreshing profile is a firm favourite.
'We're thrilled to introduce a truly exclusive treat for our food lovers: our first-to-market Golden Limoncello Mince Pies.

'Imagine delicate all-butter pastry infused with zesty lemon, cradling a luxuriously boozy mincemeat bursting with golden fruits – plump golden sultanas, sweet golden cherries, and juicy apricots – all kissed with a delightful hint of limoncello.'
Waitrose has also innovated Christmas tipples and is offering a mulled rosé - a pale pink blend with notes of red fruit, lemon zest, and clementine.
Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer's are yet to reveal its festive offerings in full, but the store's Bexley Heath location has shared a glimpse of what's to come on TikTok.
Percy Pig fans will be excited to learn that a Christmas special of 'Naughty and Nice Piglets ' will soon land on shelves.
Elsewhere, M&S will be selling a variety of potato snacks, including Maple Bacon Flavour Combo Mix of crisps, Salt and Vinegar Christmas Stars, and Butter Basted Roast Turkey crisps.
For those with a sweet tooth, there's a Peppermint Bark, Hot Maple Popcorn, and Scottish Shortbread Petticoat Tails.
It comes after Which? ranked Aldi as the best UK supermarket for Christmas essentials last year.
After surveying more than 8,000 of its members on what they had bought for their festive fare in January 2024, Which? ranked British supermarkets based on their Christmas dinner essentials.

And the results are surprising - with one budget retailer ranking within the top five of every category while several other big supermarkets failed to impress.
Aldi, which was previously crowned the UK's cheapest supermarket in October last year, was revealed as the best place to do your Christmas food shop by Which? members - for the second year in a row.
Achieving a score of 84 per cent to take first place, Aldi beat the likes of Marks & Spencer (82 per cent), Waitrose (80 per cent) and Lidl (78 per cent) to take the crown.
The German-born budget supermarket was a deserving winner, having gone all out with its 2024 Christmas range, including a multitude of turkey options and a festive Wagyu beef range.
It also introduced its 'biggest ever' vegan and vegetarian range with vegan-friendly pigs in blankets, meat-free vegetable tarts and a cheesy mushroom Wellington.
Rating taste, quality and value for money, Aldi was also named as the best supermarket to stock up on pigs in blankets and fresh vegetables.
And it tied in first place with Marks & Spencer as the best supermarket to buy stuffing.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: 'We're thrilled to be recognised by Which? as the best place to buy Christmas essentials, for the second year in a row!
'This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams, who are committed to delivering great value, quality, and service to our shoppers.
'Christmas is a special time for many, and we're proud to help families across the UK make the most of their festive celebrations, all while keeping their budgets in check.'
