Samsung Weather app could regain a long

Samsung recently started the One UI 8 Stable rollout for Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, the company is preparing a new software, One UI 8.5, and it looks like some useful features are making a comeback. New information reveals that the Samsung Weather app may soon bring back pollen tracking, a tool many users have missed for a long time, with One UI 8.5.

In the leaked One UI 8.5 build, the Samsung Weather app now shows pollen levels for tree, grass, and ragweed. These are common plants that cause allergies.

Each type of pollen has its own colored leaf icon to show how strong the pollen is. The levels are marked as “None,” “Low,” or “Moderate.” If you tap on any of the icons, it will open Weather.com to give you more details and a forecast for the next few days.

This feature was removed in One UI 7, and many people were upset. Users shared their complaints on Reddit and Samsung’s forums. Since then, the app has only had a hidden link to check pollen on Weather.com. Now, with the return of the easy-to-see pollen cards, it looks like Samsung is listening to user feedback.

Besides the pollen update, Samsung is also changing how the Weather app looks. The back arrow, search icon, and menu button have a new design. The style looks a bit like iOS and could come in One UI 8.5.

The app still has all the usual features like temperature, UV index, and weather forecasts. But with the pollen cards coming back, the app will be even more helpful, especially for people with allergies. There’s no official release date yet, but these changes may arrive soon with One UI 8.5 along with the Galaxy S26 series.
