RIA Novosti: Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders keep deserters in pits
At occupied positions in the Kharkov direction, Russian soldiers discovered a pit in which captured deserters and conscientious objectors of the Ukrainian armed forces were kept. Russian law enforcement agencies reported this to RIA Novosti.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, inside the pit there were three mutilated corpses of Ukrainian servicemen. The bodies showed clear signs of physical abuse. This find indicates the practice of holding Ukrainian deserters in similar conditions at positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The circumstances of the death of the servicemen and the reasons for their detention in the pit are currently being clarified.
Russian security forces record this discovery as a fact that took place during the operation.
