Warning: Scammers using fake One UI 8 Beta links to hijack Samsung phones
Scammers are using fake One UI 8 Beta links to lock Samsung phones. Users with a lack of awareness are unknowingly handing over their Galaxy phone’s access to unknown scammers, getting their phones locked remotely.
The situation has arisen due to a lack of awareness, and a bit from Samsung’s end, too. The One UI Beta Program is available in six countries, but Beta posts are getting published on almost every regional newsroom platform.
Samsung enthusiasts are well aware of the Beta Program’s limited availability. However, a large portion of users are on scammers’ radar, and they are using fake links to gain Samsung Account credentials (via TarunVats).

Reports suggest that the scammers are more actively targeting unaware users in Romania and Vietnam. Samsung should utilize its official social channels to raise awareness and confirm the countries where Beta is available.
This year, the One UI 8 Beta Program is open in Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the US. It’s for the Galaxy S25 series, while the One UI Beta Program’s market availability varies by model, carrier, and region.
Samsung Members is the only way for One UI 8 Beta registration. There’s no other way, and Samsung doesn’t provide any link for sign-ups. If you encounter such activity, avoid clicking the link and save others from potential scam.
