Disagreement with the referee and an exciting withdrawal. The Association of Professional Players recognizes the arbitration error against Medvedev

The Athletic newspaper reported that the ATP jury informed the Russian player’s team that the warning was incorrectly issued, and thus was canceled without imposing any fine.

The crisis erupted during the separation group against Medvedev against the American Lerner Tin, as part of the 500 Beijing Championship.

The referee, Adil Nour, made an alert to Medvedev, which sparked a sharp verbal altercation, as the player confirmed that he continues to play despite his health troubles.

In the end, Medvedev was forced to withdraw from the match in the third group, to end the match with a score of 7-5, 5-7, 0-4 after two hours and 26 minutes of play.

It is noteworthy that Medvedev, who is currently ranked 18th in the world, previously won 20 titles in his career, most notably the American Open in 2021.
