Ariana Grande fuels Ethan Slater split rumors as she returns to brunette hair after three years of blonde

Ariana Grande has returned to her brunette locks amid rumors that she and her boyfriend Ethan Slater are on the rocks.

Three years after going blonde for Wicked, the 32-year-old singer and actress unveiled her new hair – signaling that she has entered a new era.

Revealing her new look on Wednesday morning, Grande posted a mirror selfie for her 372 million followers on Instagram.

Captioning the upload, she wrote: ‘It’s good to see me, isn’t it?’

Making sure her glam squad got the credit, Grande also tagged London-based hair colorist Francesco De Chiara, hair stylist Alyx Liu and makeup artist Michael Anthony.

Fans of the beloved Side to Side hitmaker celebrated the return of Grande’s natural hair color.

Taking to Reddit, one exclaimed: ‘FINALLY.’

‘Immediately so much better omg,’ added another, while a third said, ‘This hair color looks gorgeous on her.’

Grande’s hair transformation comes amid mounting rumors that she and her boyfriend Slater, 33, are headed towards a split.

The unfounded reports come as the duo prepare for the premiere of their sequel film, Wicked: For Good on November 21.

‘Ariana and Ethan have been on and off for most of this year,’ an insider told Daily Mail earlier this month.

‘He chose not to attend the MTV VMAs with her because they’d had an argument just days before. But they made up soon after. They’ve both been running hot and cold with each other.’

The couple met on the set of Wicked in 2022 while they were both in long term relationships.

When news of their romance broke in July 2023, the Thank U, Next songstress had just split from her husband Dalton Gomez, while Slater was still married to his high school sweetheart Lilly Jay with whom he shared a then one-year-old son.

It’s been three years since Grande dyed her hair blonde for her role as Glinda in the blockbuster musical film adaptation of Wicked.

At the time, she shared a snap of herself in 2022 with foils all over her hair, and the REM Beauty founder captioned the pic with: ‘Happy one year blondieversary @frankhaircolor.’

Wicked: For Good is directed by award-winning Jon M. Chu, who was also behind the 2024 film.

The first movie was a box office success and raked in around $747.2 million on a budget of $150 million.

Wicked also received critical praise and was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won two in March this year during the glitzy ceremony.
