A ban on civil shipping in Ulysses in Vladivostok was introduced

The Ministry of Transport forbade civilian courts in the Ulysses Bay in Vladivostok
Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation established restrictions on the movement of civilian courts in the water area of Ulysses Bay, located in Vladivostok. According to the new decree, the entrance to this region is prohibited for all types of vessels, with the exception of the warships of the Navy and those vessels that received special permission from the captain of the seaport of Vladivostok. This decision is dictated by the need to ensure defense capacity and security of the Russian Federation.
The order issued by the Ministry of Transport on August 25, 2025 clearly indicates the coordinates, within which a ban on swimming for all types of vessels is introduced, including small, sailing, passenger and cargo vessels. The exception is only the Navy vessels and those that have the appropriate special resolution.
Earlier in the Ulysses Bay, in the immediate vicinity of the places of basing the Pacific Fleet, there was a significant private parking for small vessels. The Vladivostok administration demanded to free the coastal territory until May 1, 2025, motivating this with the need to ensure the safety of the shipping of warships and transfer the water area to the fleet. The berths were cleaned in a timely manner.
The measures taken are focused on strengthening military security and restoring order in shipping in the strategically significant water area of the Gulf of Peter the Great Japanese Sea.
