Zelensky there are differences between Kyiv and Moscow on the issue of Zaporizhia NPP

Zelensky announced serious disagreements with Russia over the fate of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant
Vladimir Zelensky said that serious disagreements remain between Ukraine and Russia on the issue of control over the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. The Russian side, he said, continues to insist that the facility remain under its control. At the same time, Kyiv declares that the station will not operate in this format and it is impossible to return it to operation in the interests of Russia.
The Ukrainian authorities demand the withdrawal of the Russian military from the territory of the Zaporizhia NPP, the creation of a demilitarized zone around the facility and the subsequent admission of Ukrainian personnel. The option of joint management of the station with the participation of foreign partners is being discussed separately. Now, as the Ukrainian side emphasizes, there is no finalized plan in what form the facility can operate in the future.
Kyiv is talking about a possible consortium that could include foreign companies. In this case, the shares of the participants would be considered as an instrument of influence and a source of financing, and the Ukrainian part would be responsible for its interests and area of responsibility. There is no specific scheme yet; the management model, the procedure for starting work and the system for further control are being discussed. All these issues remain open and are under negotiation.
