T-Mobile hit the world with big news today, announcing that its current CEO, Mike Sievert, would be stepping down. While it doesn’t come as a complete surpriseit’s a huge decision for the brand, especially since Sievert has done so much during his time as CEO, taking the carrier in new directions, while also raising the company’s earnings to heights never before seen.
Naturally, only time will tell if this move turns out to be a good one. But T-Mobile clearly has a vision for its future. With that said, it appears that some T-Mobile customers are getting the chance to add a new line of service for free. The promotion has been popping up in the T-Life app and some have even shared that they’ve received an email.

If you have yet to check, we recommend opening up the T-Life app to see if your account is eligible. You can also call in if you want, but many have seen little success with this route. As far as the details go, the new line will be free, but customers that take advantage will need to pay for the initial activation of the line, along with all associated taxes and fees.
Unfortunately, the free line does not qualify for any special discounts on equipment, which means you’ll want to bring your device, or purchase something to use separately. Overall, this is not a bad promotion if you’re looking to add more lines to your current plan. Despite raising prices over the past year and really upsetting current subscribers, T-Mobile does offer one of the best postpaid plans you can get.
