"Viovan" is the first Russian comedy series in which all characters are produced using artificial intelligence, and focuses on the capabilities of the series enthusiasts and their ability to dive into its worlds. The first episode began on the Start platform from September 17. The series consists of 10 minutes for short episodes, with each episode a separate story that reflects sharp and urgent topics, and the 18 -year -old audience targets and over.
The story revolves around a young man who is enthusiastic about Saint Petersburg called Fuvan, who decided to build his own settlement to live in the old way, away from modern life, where herbal and spelling therapy replaces medicine, agriculture and hunting stores, and telling stories around the fire at the Internet. The first episode provides a sarcastic narration of the lifestyle in the settlement, and criticizes the culture of pop and civilized life, especially modern series on Russian broadcasting platforms.
The director of the series based on artificial intelligence, Elijah Plutnikov, explained that all the characters were produced and drawn using the nerve network, with the addition of the cat Matfi as a opponent's character to Viovan, but it was designed to look like a real cat. He added: "We chose the short sketch style because it is suitable for the experiment, and allows to preserve the recreational character."
The director of production at Start Studios, Mikhail Takshnko, indicated that the creators of the series use artificial intelligence to accelerate practical courses and generate ideas and initial drafts, but the final decisions, technical vision and humor still need human participation.
