The WSJ writes that in the technology industry in the United States, a stereotype has arisen that no one over 30 should be hired. That’s why, according to plastic surgeons, men are spending thousands of dollars on mini face, neck and eyelid lifts to reverse the signs of aging:

“Our society has traditionally put more pressure on women to look young, but now everyone feels it—especially in Silicon Valley, where you’re labeled as ‘irrelevant’ if you look old,” Timothy Marten, a plastic surgeon in San Francisco.

Requests for such procedures among California men are up 25% compared to pre-pandemic times, and the number of surgeries has increased by 50%. According to surgeons, by the age of 30, men more often choose non-surgical methods, such as Botox injections and fillers, and by the age of 40, they already decide on surgical interventions.
