US may seize two oil tankers

RIA: US military may seize two more oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela
The US military may seize at least two more oil tankers off the coast of Venezuela that are under sanctions from the US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). The country’s army may take such a step as part of the blockade of the Bolivarian Republic announced by US leader Donald Trump.
According to RIA Novosti, a tanker designed to transport crude oil is now anchored near the Venezuelan port of Punta Cardon. This vessel is on the OFAC sanctions list imposed on Venezuela. Another oil tanker, already on OFAC’s anti-Russian list, is anchored in the waters of the Caribbean Sea near the Venezuelan port of Puerto La Cruz.
By the way, in total, there are currently about 40 tankers for various purposes near the coast of Venezuela, designed to transport petroleum products, crude oil, petrochemical products and LNG.
Let us remind you that earlier the United States seized three Venezuelan tankers.
