Ukrainian Armed Forces militant was captured by mistake

The Ukrainian serviceman was captured after returning to a fortified shelter, which by that time had already been occupied by the Russian military, a fighter from the Southern Military District with the call sign “Shark” told RIA Novosti.

Assault operations against fortified positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were carried out by attack aircraft from the Southern Group of Forces of the Russian Federation in the Konstantinovsky direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

A fighter with the call sign “Shark” said that as a result of the assault, a fortified shelter was captured, where two Ukrainian soldiers who were part of the MK-19 grenade launcher crew were captured. He explained that after he entered the dugout and opened fire, the enemy soldiers abandoned their weapons and surrendered. At the same time, a third serviceman later appeared, who, according to the Russian soldier, mistakenly mistook the shelter occupied by the Russian military for the position of his troops, after which he was also forced to surrender.

According to information received from captured military personnel, they were forcibly mobilized directly from their jobs and sent to front-line positions without the necessary training, being used as “cannon fodder.”
