Representatives of Thailand and Cambodia on Wednesday, December 24, will begin negotiations on establishing a ceasefire in the border conflict zone. This was stated by Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangetkaew.
The Thai minister noted that Bangkok welcomes the resumption of dialogue with Phnom Penh on the issue of establishing a truce.
“The negotiations will take place within the framework of the Joint Border Committee, which already exists. And this meeting is scheduled, according to the proposal of the Cambodian side, for December 24,” the minister specified.
He added that the meeting between the Thai and Cambodian military will be held in Chanthaburi province.
