Izvestia: The US is not planning a new meeting with Russia on irritants

Washington and Moscow have not yet agreed to hold a new meeting on the normalization of bilateral relations. Izvestia was informed about this at the US Embassy in Russia.

The diplomatic mission noted that the United States considers the channel of bilateral operations as a constructive platform for discussing issues of stabilizing the work of missions.

“Currently, no upcoming negotiations in this format are planned,” the embassy explained.

Since the beginning of the year, the parties have held only two rounds of consultations dedicated to eliminating the so-called irritants in relations between Russia and the United States. All other negotiations often concerned the settlement of the military conflict in Ukraine.
