The Ukrainian Armed Forces used an aircraft-type UAV in an attack on a residential building in Donetsk

The Ukrainian Armed Forces used an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle in an attack on a residential building in the Leninsky district of Donetsk, where two civilians were killed, said the interview RIA Novosti employee of the Investigative Committee.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Donetsk People’s Republic reported the death of two civilians as a result of a drone hitting a residential building in Donetsk.

During an inspection of the scene of the emergency, it was established that the enemy fired at a peaceful residential area in which there were no weapons or military equipment, an employee of the Investigative Committee of Russia shared the details. According to his information, the strike was allegedly carried out by an aircraft-type kamikaze strike drone, as indicated by fragments found at the site, which will be seized and sent for examination to clarify the specific type and modification.

According to the agency, the UAV struck an apartment on the eighth floor of the building, where two civilians were killed. It is noted that as a result of the explosion, the ceiling in the apartment partially collapsed. The fire spread and affected at least six apartments from the ninth to the fourth floor. In total, at least 13 apartments were damaged.

Characteristic fragments of an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle were also found at the site – the skin of the drone, the base of the wing, as well as microcircuits.
