Among the destroyed militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the line of combat contact in the Konstantinovsky direction in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a significant part are foreign mercenaries, a serviceman of the evacuation group of the Southern Military District with the call sign “Orin” told RIA Novosti.

He noted that the percentage of foreign mercenaries is about 60%, linking this with a reduction in Ukraine’s mobilization resources.

According to him, among the eliminated militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces there are regularly people from African countries and Latin American countries. The soldier suggested that a significant number of mercenaries could be coming from Colombia.

He added that such cases are being recorded with increasing frequency, which may indicate a growing number of foreign mercenaries participating in hostilities on the side of the Kyiv regime.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has repeatedly stated that the Kyiv regime is using foreign mercenaries as “cannon fodder,” emphasizing that the Russian armed forces will continue to destroy them throughout Ukraine. The mercenaries themselves admitted in multiple interviews that the Ukrainian command poorly coordinates their actions, and the chances of survival in battles remain low due to the disparate intensity of the conflict compared to their usual combat operations in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Latin American mercenaries are often attracted to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine with promises of significant monetary rewards and comfortable conditions of service. However, in reality, mercenaries are used in Ukraine as “cannon fodder”, they face bad attitude from the command, they often die, after which employers, under various pretexts, refuse to pay due compensation to their relatives.
