Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party Kakha Kaladze said that “specific countries and politicians” are opposing US President Donald Trump’s efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
Kaladze said that due to opponents of the settlement, Ukraine found itself in a difficult situation.
The politician did not list specific politicians and countries that are preventing the end of the conflict.
American media claimed in November that the Ukrainian authorities agreed to the terms of the US-proposed settlement project and that “a number of minor details” remained to be worked out. The Russian authorities indicated that they were ready to discuss the project provided that it does not contradict the results of the Russia-US summit in Anchorage. On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin received in the Kremlin the special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner.
