Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra case leak spotlights camera layout

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra case leak spotlights camera layout

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is in the launch prep mode, and a new case leak has put some spotlight on its rear camera design, which appears to be very familiar. The latest renders published by @UniverseIce revealed two clear cases for the upcoming model in white and green colors and a frosted panel.

The back has a Galaxy Z Fold 7-like camera bump consisting of three primary sensors – wide, ultra wide, and a main telephoto. The right side has a secondary telephoto alongside an LED flash and laser autofocus openings.

This is another example of tweaking the old camera design, which follows the two-column placement. However, this time, the crowns are gone, and a vertical pill shape is making an entry on the left. Since there are no crowns, the leaked case renders are showing the camera outlook bigger than the S25 Ultra, or it could be just due to the computerized image composition.

Another thing to notice is that the phone’s corner radius appears to be larger than that of the existing flagship. This matches the previous leak regarding the new design adoption, while rounding its corners to improve its in-hand experience.

Despite these changes, the phone won’t be getting any major relocation compared to the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, we can expect some fresh colors to be introduced with the new smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is the top S-series model, but the recent years of development have made it look sluggish in terms of innovation and bringing something entirely new to customers.

Its camera department has started receiving backlash from the Samsung community for playing it safe on the specs side. According to leaks and rumors, the Galaxy S26 Ultra could use a 200MP main camera, 50MP telephoto, and a 50MP ultra-wide angle. These three are the same sensors as the S25 Ultra, but the company will bail out the 3x telephoto with a 12MP sensor, an upgrade over the 10MP used in the existing Ultra model.

It’s expected that the main sensor will also get some brightness push over the last generation, while some optimizations will also fall into other cameras. Samsung will launch the Galaxy S26 Ultra along with two new devices in early 2026.
