Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who has Ukrainian citizenship, asked Vladimir Zelensky to add him to the list of civilian prisoners.

The ex-president said the move could have “appropriate legal consequences.”

Saakashvili received Ukrainian citizenship in 2015. Two years later he was deprived of it, and two years later the decision to deprive Saakashvili of citizenship was canceled. The former president is in a Georgian prison. He was involved in five criminal cases, four of which resulted in sentences totaling up to 2034 in prison.
