Rising reports hint at possible Galaxy S23 motherboard issue

Samsung appears to be dealing with a Galaxy S23 motherboard issue. Rising user reports suggest that the company’s older flagship lineup is facing a motherboard issue, which could potentially become a massive headache.
Back in 2023, Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series, which includes three models. The smartphones come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor around the world, as Exynos 2300 was canceled entirely.
The phones pack capable hardware, with the Ultra featuring Samsung’s first 200MP camera. The green line problem is already there among Galaxy S23 smartphone users, and a more critical issue has started to arise across countries.
Be it the base, Plus, or Ultra model, owners of the Galaxy S23 series are reporting sudden motherboard failure. The affected devices have started to lag massively and have shut down, with no signs of recovery.
Users report that their S23 has suddenly turned itself off, and attempting to turn it on does nothing. Some suspect it is a software-driven problem, which could be possible, but was not acknowledged by Samsung’s support centers.
Taking the affected device to Samsung’s authorized service center results in a heavy repair bill. Various users reported that the phone’s motherboard has failed, leaving it in a dead condition until a full replacement.
Unlike the green line issue, the Korean tech giant isn’t offering a complimentary repair. As the scale of this problem isn’t that broad, like the line on display, there’s a silence from Samsung’s side, but users are very disappointed.

Notably, the motherboard can’t be repaired; it can only be replaced with a brand-new unit. Getting it replaced costs heavily, around $350 in most countries. Even if you pay the price, you won’t get your data back at any cost.
Samsung needs to deal with rising complaints about the S23 motherboards. As the problem is emerging across markets, it seems to be a quality issue. The company should also consider free repair if it’s a quality defect, not user-made.
