VITAL STATISTICS

Single 'my whole life!'

Current role: Model

Would like to meet: Someone kind, handsome, respectful - and a lover of true crime

Dating past?

Pretty non-existent, if I am honest. All I’ve really had are a few situationships that didn’t go anywhere. I’ve been asked out a lot but I am quite picky.

Pre-date nerves?

I’m an adrenaline seeker, so I knew I’d be able to channel any nerves positively.

First impressions?

Very positive. Logaan is tall and was wearing on-trend clothes (enough to satisfy this Liverpool girl). He also has a very endearing Welsh accent. He’s attractive but I knew straight away he’s not my type. My heart belongs to Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey.

Easy to talk to?

Yes, although we did get political. Charlie Kirk had just been murdered and while neither of us chimed with his views, we both agreed he shouldn’t have been killed. It was a heavy conversation but that was fine.

I’ve signed on to do a criminology course because I’m very into true crime so we discussed that, too. I follow all live cases religiously and can spend hours poring over, for example, different camera angles from crime scenes. If Logaan was weirded out about me displaying my in-depth knowledge about murders on a date, he was too polite to say.

Embarrassing moments?

I offered to top up Logaan’s water glass but completely missed and spilled water all over the table. Fortunately Logaan just laughed.

Did sparks fly?

Personally, I don’t think so. He could have been flirting - he maintained good eye-contact and complimented my outfit - but I didn’t feel that sort of energy from him. I don’t flirt unless I’m 100 per cent into someone and I wasn’t into Logan in that way. Instead, it felt like having lunch with a friend.

See him again?

No, although Logaan is a lovely human being.

What do you think he thought of you?

That I was friendly? I couldn’t read him but I think I entertained Logaan. He said he wasn’t bored.

Would your friends like him?

Yes, Logaan is warm, positive and interested in other people. You’d be hard pushed to find something to dislike about him.

VITAL STATISTICS

Single for five months, no children

Current role: Security officer for the Welsh civil service

Would like to meet: Looks are secondary, personality is the driving force. A woman who is fun and active, ideally nobody lazy. My ideal woman is Billie Eilish.

Dating past?

I’ve had one serious relationship. I’m fairly confident and can talk to anyone but I don’t use the apps - they’re a bit ick for my generation.

Pre-date nerves?

I doubt it, I approach life with an open, positive mindset and take everything in my stride.

First impressions?

I’ll get straight to it: Lucy is hot. She’s slim, tanned and very pretty. You’d walk past her in the street and think, ‘OMG I could never talk to you.’ When I got to the table, we had a side hug (where you put an arm around someone’s shoulders only). I would never presume to do a full-body hug with someone I didn’t know.

Easy to talk to?

We had a mini freakout about all the menu options and both learned what a souffle is. Lucy is massively into true crime and could talk about it for hours. She even does TikToks on her analyses of current murders. If her posts ever went viral, she’d make it her career. It was an unusual topic for a first date, but I was impressed by her drive.

Embarrassing moments?

Lucy spilt water on the table and had a bit of a panic about it. I told her not to worry.

Did sparks fly?

No, Lucy is very pretty, but it didn’t feel like I could pay her endless compliments and tell her ‘you’re stunning’. She is. But the vibe was very definitely ‘friends only’. She’s probably just a bit out of my league. Although, by the end, I got a sense she liked me.

See her again?

Yes I would but I suspect that in Lucy’s head I am already friend-zoned. Still, when I messaged to check she got home safely, she replied with a kiss at the end of her message.

What do you think she thought of you?

Oof – that’s hard. I want to say she thought I was fun to be around with a high tolerance for murder scene analysis.

Would your friends like her?

Yes, we’ve got the same sense of humour and were both a bit childish at times. It was cute to see that side of Lucy.
