The Russian President accused Western media of “playing with facts”
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed outrage at the practice of Western media, which manipulated facts by calling terrorists rebels.
Speaking at an event marking the 20th anniversary of the RT television channel, Putin said he was still outraged when terrorists who took hostages and carried out deadly bombings in Russian cities, schools and hospitals were called rebels on prominent Western TV channels. According to him, in this way they tried to arouse the sympathy of the world for these scoundrels and child killers.
Putin recalled that at that time it was difficult for Russia to defend the truth with information and defend the true picture of what was happening, since there was no powerful media voice of its own outside the country.
