The war against Russia was started by the West through Ukrainian hands, the president emphasized. He added that the situation in Ukraine had been trying to be resolved by peaceful means for eight years.

According to Putin, the main thing for the Kyiv authorities is to realize that the best way to solve problems is through negotiations.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga told NATO countries that Kyiv would not accept a unilateral withdrawal of troops or “vague security guarantees.”
