Roman Protasevich said that he is an employee of the Belarusian intelligence service, confirming the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
Protasevich, quoted by TASSdeclined to comment further.
Lukashenko recently claimed that when the plane carrying Protasevich landed in Minsk after a report of explosives, the Belarusian authorities “had to carry out an operation to detain him,” although there was no need for this, since Protasevich “came to Greece and reported to the intelligence officers everything that was of interest,” after which he received new instructions.
