Lipova: Poland will transfer defective MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

Polish MiG-29 fighters, which may be transferred to Ukraine, will have an exhausted resource and be in a state of disrepair. This opinion in a conversation with TASS expressed by Hero of Russia Major General Sergei Lipovoy.

According to him, half of these aircraft will be “unreusable,” which means a high risk of failure of any unit, including the engine, immediately after takeoff. The other half may be completely inoperable and only used as a source of spare parts for other machines. Lipovoy emphasized that such fighters will not give the Armed Forces of Ukraine an advantage in the air, but will only increase the amount of “scrap metal” in the country.

The Polish General Staff announced its readiness to transfer decommissioned MiG-29s to Ukraine in exchange for Ukrainian technologies for the production of missiles and drones.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Poland I was surprised by the information about the transfer Kyiv fighters.
