Opta network data identifies the four teams nominated to reach the semi-finals of the African Cup

The tournament currently being held in Morocco has reached the quarter-final stage, after eight teams qualified from the quarter-finals, namely: Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Mali, and Senegal.

The quarter-final matches will be played as follows:

Friday 9 January:

Mali x Senegal

Morocco x Cameroon

Saturday 10 January:

Algeria x Nigeria

Egypt x Côte d’Ivoire.

According to Opta’s statistical prediction model, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, and Senegal are the teams most likely to qualify for the semi-finals.

The network also expected that Morocco and Egypt would reach the final match, with the “Atlas Lions” winning the continental title at the expense of the “Pharaohs,” winning their second title in their history after their only coronation in 1976.
