An Oklahoma woman lost all four of her limbs after she was attacked by two dogs while riding a bike.
Janelle Scott was attacked by two pit bulls on Sept. 9 in Okmulgee, Okla., her family said on a GoFundMe page.
News 9 spoke to Scott’s mother Cheryl, who said her daughter was riding bicycles with her boyfriend when a friend’s pit bulls began attacking her.
The boyfriend was riding behind Scott at the time and rushed to try and fend off the dogs before calling for help.
According to News 9, Okmulgee police said they found Scott suffering “from significant and severe injuries.”
One of the dogs involved died during the altercation with the boyfriend, police reportedly said.

“There is an RV-type trailer located in this area, and it is reported that the dog(s) were kept within this trailer,” police said about the incident, per 9 News. “This trailer had reportedly been broken into at some point in the evening, which may have released the animals from confinement.”
According to the GoFundMe, Scott initially had her right arm and left leg amputated but later required further surgery to amputate the other two limbs. Thus far the GoFundMe has raised over $12,000.
“Remember, we’re strong women, and we’re going to beat this,” Cheryl Scott told 9 News.
