Sergei Mironov was re-elected chairman of the A Just Russia party at the congress.
The decision of the congress also abolished the institution of co-chairs and introduced the positions of deputy party chairmen. Thus, Alexander Babakov was elected to the position of first deputy chairman of the party, and to the position of deputies – Zakhar Prilepin and Ruslan Tatarinov.
The congress today decided to rename the party “A Just Russia” from “A Just Russia – For Truth”. The delegates unanimously approved a return to the previous name.
In his speech, Mironov set the task for fellow party members to increase the composition of the faction in the ninth convocation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. “It will be much larger than now,” the leader has no doubt. Now, in the eighth convocation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Right Russia faction has 28 parliamentarians.
