Meghan Markle is seemingly unbothered by rumours her former best friend Jessica Mulroney has been ‘offered an advance of more than $1million’ to write a tell-all book – as the Duchess of Sussex carried on with her usual business on Wednesday.

Prince Harry‘s wife, 44, took to her brand’s Instagram account to share a glimpse of her ‘sweetest moments’ as she posed with her two pet dogs in a photo thought to be taken at her Montecito mansion.

Dressed in an elegant yellow maxi dress, featuring billowing sleeves and a cinched waist, Meghan was captured looking away from the camera, towards two palm trees that she once revealed were representative of her and the Duke’s love story.

The caption of the As Ever post read: ‘Crisp air, blue skies, and the sweetest moments.’

Speaking to The Cut in 2022 while giving her once-favoured outlet a tour of her home, Meghan said the couple were drawn to the property because of the two Dr. Seussian palm trees that grew right in the center of the lawn.

‘One of the first things my husband saw when we walked around the house was those two palm trees,’ she said. ‘See how they’re connected at the bottom? He goes, “My love, it’s us.”‘

She also revealed that their then three-year-old son would even talk to the trees like they were his parents, revealing: ‘Now every day when Archie goes by us, he says, “Hi, Momma. Hi, Papa.”‘ The latest As Ever promo appears to feature the palm trees that Meghan was referring to.

Meghan’s post comes after it was revealed her former best friend Ms Mulroney has reportedly been offered an advance of more than $1million to publish an account of their relationship.

The Duchess once said that ‘the room stops’ whenever her friend Ms Mulroney ‘shows up’ but reportedly cut off contact when the Canadian stylist became embroiled in an online race row related to Black Lives Matter.

Ms Mulroney has since told the Daily Mail that she would ‘never’ spill the beans on what happened between them amid reports she was considering a memoir.

She declined to comment further but one source has suggested that she could still be ‘biding her time’ because she blames the Duchess of Sussex for her ‘toxic’ public profile.

‘Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada’, one insider with links to Jessica’s camp said. ‘I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows]. Meghan is still pretty powerful and they have a lot of people in common.

‘She is probably biding her time. She lost her career but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more’.

Ms Mulroney and Meghan were inseparable for several years after meeting in Toronto when the now-duchess was filming suits.

She helped guard the secret that Meghan was secretly dating a prince and she was the first friend the mother-of-two called from the grounds of Kensington Palace when Harry proposed.

Her twin sons John and Brian, then seven, even had the honour of carrying Meghan’s train of her dress down the aisle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, while her daughter Ivy, then two, was a bridesmaid at the royal wedding alongside Princess Charlotte.

But seven years on Jessica has been cut adrift by her former best friend – and was effectively cancelled – after giving her views on Black Lives Matter.

‘She was upset their friendship ended. Jessica knows where the bodies are buried. Meghan will be worried’, a insider told the Daily Mail last week.

Despite her clear denial, a source close to her insisted that even if she refuses to speak about it publicly, Jessica does have an axe to grind with the Duchess of Sussex.

An online race row where she was accused of having ‘white privilege’ left her ‘toxic’ on the Toronto social scene.

Afterwards TV work dried up and she even stepped down from the charity she set up to support homeless women across Canada, the US and the UK, a decision that would have caused her huge grief. Meghan, it is said, cut off contact with her at the same time.
