Lithuania resumed operation of two checkpoints on the border with Belarus




Lithuania has resumed the operation of two checkpoints on the border with Belarus, which were previously closed by decision of Vilnius.
As reported by the BELTA agency, the passage of vehicles began through the checkpoints “Benyakoni” (from the Lithuanian side – “Shalchininkai”) and “Kamenny Log” (from the Lithuanian side – “Medininkai”).
The day before, the Lithuanian authorities officially notified the Belarusian side of plans to open the specified road checkpoints from 01:00 Belarusian time on November 20. The Border Committee and the Customs Service of Belarus confirmed their readiness to resume operation of these checkpoints.
It was previously reported that Vilnius decided to open the border with Belarus.
