Launching a batch of Amazon satellites dedicated to communications and Internet services

SpaceX said in a statement on the matter: “On Tuesday، At 01:58 EST, a new batch of Kuiper satellites were launched as part of the KF-03 mission. These satellites aim to support Amazon in providing high-speed Internet communications services at ground level.”

The statement added: “The launch was carried out using a Falcon-9 rocket, launched from Cape Canaveral Base in Florida. The successful launch of the Kuiper satellites was confirmed.”

In 2023, Amazon launched two test models of Kuiper satellites into orbit, and in the same year the company announced that the two models were operating successfully, and last April it also launched 27 of these satellites into space on board an Atlas V rocket belonging to the company “ULA”.

In general, the company plans to launch about 3,200 Kuiper satellites into low Earth orbit, for use in providing communications and Internet services to Earth. According to the company’s website, Amazon plans to begin providing communications services from the satellites it launched by the end of 2025.
