Jacob Elordi ridiculed over his horrific handwriting Was he holding the pen with his toes?

Despite being one of Hollywood’s most popular young stars, fans think Jacob Elord could improve on one thing – his handwriting.

The 28-year-old actor appeared in a promotional video for The Academy, in which A-listers were asked to share some inspirational quotes or words of wisdom that they would then preserve in the archives.

The video, which featured a range of actors in addition to Elordi including Lili Reinhartthe Ma. Heart, Natalie PortmanMark Hammel and Ryan Coogler, had snippets of the stars chatting to the host about famous sayings they love.

Elordi shared a quote from the Mike Mills film, C’mon, C’mon, which read: ‘Be funny, when you can.’

‘I just thought that was so beautiful,’ Elordi told the segment’s host, Reece Feldman.

While most people signed their name with a pen underneath their quote after explaining the significance of it, Elordi wrote his name in block letters, which had a slight wobble to it.

He completed the signature with an awkward looking smiley face at the end.

Although the clip was full of some of the most famous faces in the world sharing their wise words, fans could not get past the Euphoria star’s scrawling sign off.

‘He really is just a mouse that made a wish to be human but accidentally ended up over 6ft tall????’ one user laughed in response to the video.

‘If this isn’t proof that god doesn’t give with both hands,’ wrote someone else.

‘Was Jacob holding the pen with his toes?’ a third scathed.

Another person questioned: ‘Why do boys have such horrific handwriting?’

‘Handwriting looking like someone who holds a pencil like a child drawing with a crayon,’ they criticized.

Others jumped to the Frankenstein actor’s defense.

‘Why are people making fan of Jacob Elordi’s handwriting? Mine is worse I don’t understand the fun of it,’ a fan wrote.

‘Sorry but Jacob Elordi has captivated me and I really thought I’d left this type of thing behind me in my teens but I guess not. He’s so real for this handwriting,’ agreed someone else.

Elordi stars opposite Margot Robbie in the highly-anticipated Emerald Fennell adaptation of Wuthering Heights which will be released on Valentine’s Day 2026

Elordi has an impressive slate of films coming up, including the much-anticipated rendition of Wuthering Heights, directed and written by Emerald Fennell.

The Australian-born actor will star opposite Margot Robbie in the film version of the Emily Brontë’s classic novel as star-crossed lovers Catherine and Heathcliff.

The $81 million production, which was filmed in January, also features Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell, with original songs by Charli XCX.

Fennell’s upcoming film is said to lean into the ‘stylized depravity’ she has become known for after directing the 2023 hit Saltburn.

Elordi has also received praise for his work in Frankenstein, where he played The Creature. He will also play the lead in the 2026 post-apocalyptic science fiction film, The Dog Stars, and will star opposite Lily-Rose Depp in Outer Dark.
