Politico: Britain is ready to promote peace in Ukraine

British Defense Minister John Healey said that the so-called “coalition of the willing” – a group of countries supporting Ukraine – is ready to ensure peace if hostilities cease. Politico reports this.

Healey stressed that the coalition’s work is being updated regularly so that allies can be ready “at a moment’s notice to step in and help bring peace.” According to the publication, the headquarters of the association is located in Paris, and it includes high-ranking British military personnel.

The minister’s statement came after a meeting of the Joint Expeditionary Force in Budapest, where a new partnership agreement with Ukraine was signed.

Previously, Healy expressed the opinion that possible negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump could be a step towards dialogue on Ukraine. According to him, Trump is “the figure who is capable of bringing Putin to the negotiating table.”
