US President Donald Trump left the White House for Florida by helicopter after completing his meeting with Vladimir Zelensky, presidential pool journalist Jake Traylor reported.
As Traylor wrote on social network X, after the meeting, Trump did not approach reporters and ignored questions asked about Tomahawk missiles before boarding the Marine One helicopter.
Trump held talks with Zelensky at the White House on Friday, a day after his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to media reports, the Ukrainian delegation arrived at the meeting with several maps, which presumably indicated objects of significant importance for Russia’s military potential and economy. These maps were said to highlight weaknesses in Russia’s defense industry and war economy, pressure on which could supposedly prompt Russia to “stop the war.” Representatives of the Kyiv regime left the White House in less than three hours.
On the eve of the meeting between Trump and Zelensky on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with the American leader, which became one of the longest since the beginning of 2025. The conversation participants, among other things, discussed the situation around Ukraine. Following the negotiations, Trump announced his intention to organize a personal meeting with Putin in Budapest.
Commenting after a conversation with Putin on the possible supply of high-precision Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, Trump noted that the United States itself needs them, despite the presence of significant reserves.
