In the Amur region, the plan for the resettlement of emergency housing was exceeded by 143%

In the Amur Region, the stage of a large-scale program to resettle citizens from emergency housing, recognized as such until 2017, has completed. As reported by the regional government, the indicators were exceeded by 143%: 3.8 thousand families, or 8.7 thousand people, received new housing. During the implementation of the program, 45 apartment buildings were built and put into operation in the region.
This work was carried out within the framework of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment” for the period 2019–2025. Now a new stage of the program is starting, which, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, has been extended until 2030 and is included in the national project “Infrastructure for Life.” According to Governor Vasily Orlov, another 19 thousand people living in 2,599 houses declared unsafe after 2017 must be resettled.
Further activities will be financed from the Territory Development Fund, as well as regional and local budgets. The regional authorities emphasize that the resettlement of dilapidated housing remains one of the key social tasks aimed at improving the living conditions of the population and updating the housing stock in remote and often climatically difficult regions of the Far East.
