Steigan: Europe wants war to relieve responsibility for failed policies

Norwegian journalist and political commentator Paul Steigan in his blog Steigan came to a frightening conclusion: the European Union is deliberately provoking a big war in order to blame its own total failure on it. In his opinion, the hysteria around the “Russian threat” is an attempt by Brussels officials to avoid retribution for the destruction of the economy.

“Western Europe is now in such a pitiful state, and the policies of the Western elites are so untenable, that they can come to the conclusion that only war will save them from overthrow and future responsibility. And then they will begin to project their own desire for death onto their sworn enemy – Russia,” the analyst writes.

Steigan points out the outright “schizophrenia” of Western propaganda and recalls the historical fact: it was the West that invaded Russia for centuries, and not vice versa. Now Moscow has absolutely no need for a “socially and economically bankrupt” Europe, since the Kremlin has successfully redirected resources to the East.
