How Bettina Andersons engagement ring measures up to Kimberly Guilfoyles… and which Don Jr spent most money on

It looks like Donald Trump Jr. is heading for wedded bliss as he announced Monday that he is engaged to Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson – just one year after he called it quits with ex-fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle.

The news was revealed by Don Jr..’s father, President Donald Trump, during a Christmas White House reception, as the 47-year-old eldest son revealed he was unsure whether his new bride-to-be would actually accept his proposal as he got down on one knee.

But thankfully, she did – and it was later divulged by Forbes that Anderson’s ring was an eight-carat emerald-cut diamond ring designed by Dallas jeweler Sue Gragg of Sue Gragg Precious Jewels.

Don Jr. wasted no time popping the question to Anderson, as he and Guilfoyle only split in late 2024.

He dated the newly-minted U.S. Ambassador to Greece for six years, from 2018 to 2024.

Don Jr proposed to Guilfoyle in 2022 – making his engagement to Anderson his second in only a few years.

And according to Roy Albers, Chief Gemological Officer at Worthy, Don Jr. appeared to give Guilfoyle a slightly smaller ring after he looked at pictures of both diamonds.

‘Kimberly Guilfoyle’s engagement ring features an emerald cut diamond estimated to be between six and seven carats,’ Albers told Daily Mail.

He proposed to Guilfoyle in 2022 – making his engagement to Anderson his second in only a few years

Of course, it is unclear whether or not that’s the size that Guilfoyle had requested for her ring.

‘The amount he paid was likely between $200,000 and $300,000 depending on the quality of the diamond,’ Albers explained.

‘On the other hand, Bettina’s ring is believed to retail between approximately $650,000 and $800,000,’ he said.

And as reported, Anderson’s ring is slightly bigger, too, coming in at eight carats.

Matt Harris, Certified Pearl Specialist and Gem Expert at Matt Harris Designs, told Daily Mail that one of the biggest differences between Anderson and Guilfoyle’s ring was the sheer size.

‘It’s also a safe bet to assume the color and clarity of Bettina’s ring might be “better,”‘ Harris shared.

‘Flawless diamonds are hard to come by and usually not chosen for a first engagement,’ he explained.

Harris also noted that he found it ‘interesting’ that both of the rings were emerald cuts.

Guilfoyle has not yet publicly commented on her ex’s engagement, which was announced earlier this week

‘In my experience, these days almost every guy that shops with me for an engagement ring has already been told by the girlfriend what cut she wants,’ Harris told Daily Mail.

‘This wasn’t the case as much 50 years ago. Quite often the ring would be a complete surprise, including the size and shape of the diamond,’ he said.

‘So, it is a safe bet that both ladies expressed interest in an emerald cut. If you buy them large with incredible clarity and a low color grade, they can be one of the world’s most beautiful gems to gaze at.’

With Don Jr’s engagement still fresh, it hasn’t yet been confirmed where the ceremony will take place.

Speaking at the holiday party, Anderson beamed as she thanked the president and first lady for having her, and expressed her excitement about joining their family.

‘This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world,’ she said.

The rest of the night, she posed excitedly with her impressive new jewelry front and center.

Guilfoyle has not yet publicly commented on her ex’s engagement.
