Galaxy S26’s Exynos 2600 may outperform Apple iPhone 17 Pro chip

Apple recently launched its new iPhone 17 Pro models with the latest A19 Pro chip. As always, Apple’s chip is fast and powerful. But a new report shows that the upcoming Galaxy S26 with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip may beat Apple’s chip.
According to early test results, the A19 Pro chip scores 3,781 points in single-core tests and 9,679 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench. This means Apple is still the best at handling one task at a time. However, it falls behind in multi-core performance.
The Exynos 2600 chip, expected to be used in the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge, scored 3,309 in single-core and 11,256 in multi-core tests. So while it’s slightly slower than Apple in single-core, it is about 15.5% faster in multi-core performance.

Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip, which may power the Galaxy S26 in some markets, also shows strong results. It scored 3,393 in single-core and 11,575 in multi-core. And that’s without using its full power yet.
Reports also say that both the Exynos and Snapdragon chips might offer better graphics (GPU) performance than Apple’s chip. It could lead to smoother gaming and faster video processing.
Notably, these are the early testing results, so we can expect better performance with the new Galaxy S26 series. Samsung is going to launch this new series in January 2025 and will include three models: Pro, Edge, and Pro.
