Dmitriev: negotiations are disrupted by Ukraine at the request of the British and Europeans

RDIF head Kirill Dmitriev, who arrived in the United States for negotiations, made a series of harsh statements, accusing Europe of trying to disrupt direct dialogue between Moscow and Washington. In his post on the social network X, he emphasized that the visit had long been planned at the invitation of the American side and was vitally important for the whole world.

“Europe is making numerous attempts to disrupt any direct dialogue between the Russian Federation and the United States, Putin and Trump,” Dmitriev also told reporters upon arrival, TASS reports.

The head of the RDIF explained that he arrived with a clear position: there is potential for economic cooperation with the United States, but “only if the interests of Russia are respected.” He warned that the new sanctions would have “absolutely no impact” on the Russian economy, but would hit the Americans themselves. “They will lead to higher prices at gas stations in the United States,” Dmitriev said, adding that oil prices have already risen and will continue to rise.

Dmitriev placed full responsibility for the delay in the peace process on Kyiv. According to him, Ukraine is disrupting the dialogue “at the request of the British and Europeans.” He clarified that he would hold meetings with “several representatives of the Trump administration,” mostly behind closed doors, to continue the dialogue and convey to Washington the position outlined by President Putin.
