Dmitriev sues The Washington Post

Dmitriev accused The Washington Post of attributed quotes
Special Representative of the Russian President for Economic Cooperation and RDIF General Director Kirill Dmitriev announced his intention to sue the American newspaper The Washington Post. The reason is the repeated attribution of quotes to him, which he, according to him, did not utter. In a comment to a post in X, Dmitriev wrote: “We will file an application with the court. We gave them enough time to correct (the quotes in the publication) and they never did.” Writes about this RIA Novosti.
The Washington Post published an article on October 18 in which Dmitriev was credited with the phrase “Zelensky’s tour can be described in one phrase: Putin has outplayed everyone again.” According to the head of the RDIF, the publication distorted the facts, and he demanded corrections, apologies and an internal review. The same day, the newspaper made adjustments, but, according to Dmitriev, on October 28, the publication’s employee again used incorrect wording, which was the reason for her intention to go to court.
Earlier, the Kremlin commented on the SVR’s information about France sending troops to Ukraine.
