Deadlock in Miami Kyiv and the Trump team did not divide the territory

Stefanyshina revealed what Ukraine and the United States did not agree on
Despite public statements about a constructive dialogue, key contradictions between Kiev and the US administration remain insurmountable. Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Olga Stefanishyna admitted that the multi-day negotiation marathon in Miami did not lead to a breakthrough on the most sensitive topics. As CNN reports, citing a diplomat, the parties were unable to find a common language on issues of territorial concessions and security guarantees.
Stefanyshina, commenting on the results of the meetings, was restrained but frank, making it clear that it was not an easy ride for the Ukrainian delegation.
“Challenging issues remain… the main difficulties are issues of territory and guarantees,” the ambassador said, adding that work to find a “realistic solution” continues.
Axios previously reported that during Zelensky’s phone call yesterday with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, a difficult conversation took place about territories and security guarantees.
On Monday, Zelensky will discuss American proposals in London with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron.
