Galaxy S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra get September 2025 security update

Samsung has pushed a new update for the Galaxy S22 series, which installs the September 2025 security patch to improve system security and stability. The update is currently live for users in Europe, and the company will soon expand it to more countries.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series can verify the September 2025 security update via One UI build versions given below.

• S901BXXSIFYI3 – Galaxy S22
• S906BXXSIFYI3 – Galaxy S22 Plus
• S908BXXSIFYI3 – Galaxy S22 Ultra

September 2025 security update fixes many security problems. According to Samsung, it includes 71 fixes for Android, with 2 critical and 58 high-risk issues. It also brings 25 fixes for Samsung’s own software (One UI) and fixes one medium-level issue found by Samsung Semiconductor.

Aside from this, Samsung has started the One UI 8 Stable rollout update for Galaxy devices. These Galaxy S22 models will receive this major update in October 2025. The exact date hasn’t been revealed yet.

If you use a Galaxy S22, make sure to check for the new update and install it when it’s available. Staying updated is one of the best ways to keep your phone secure and running smoothly.

To check for software updates manually, head to your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.
