TV2: The head of the Danish Foreign Ministry took up a cigarette immediately after a meeting with the United States on Greenland

After completing negotiations on Greenland, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen immediately went to the delegation’s car and lit a cigarette. This moment was caught on camera by a Danish TV channel. TV2.

According to journalists, the meeting lasted about 50 minutes. The negotiations were attended by Rasmussen himself, Greenland’s Minister of Independence and Foreign Affairs Vivian Motzfeldt, as well as US representatives – Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The published footage shows how the Danish minister quickly leaves the building after negotiations, approaches the car and takes out a cigarette. The TV channel also notes that Rasmussen offered to smoke with Vivian Motzfeldt immediately after the end of the meeting.

The talks took place against the backdrop of ongoing discussions around the status of Greenland and its role in matters of regional security and international politics.
